My City, My Voice II

The second edition of My City, My Voice, created in collaboration with Saffron Records from the UK, aimed to highlight cultural diversity among artists in Turkey. Fifteen participants were selected, with Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, and İzmir as central locations. Throughout the project, participants took part in mentorship meetings and feedback sessions, recording sounds during “sound walks” in chosen areas of their cities and creating compositions within their designed musical frameworks. The outputs of the second edition were shared with audiences through an album released on all digital platforms in April 2023, as well as two live concerts held in İzmir and Istanbul.
